Project Description
This Geographic Information System included defining data structures and modeling data distribution processes for several purposes.
First we mapped all parks in great detail in Microstation. We designed file and layer structures and then converted CADD data to ESRI shape files accordingly. We then created an application interface to facilitate data query, and data retrieval, and set-up of views for plotting and inputting data.
We also added an inventory database system of the Town Parklets (small community parks). We took inventories of the equipment in each parklet, including digital photographs. These were linked to more than 200 parklets located on a GIS map. The program was designed for easy retrieval, inventory updates, and picture viewing.
A software application was designed to manage boat slips facilitating slip assignments, payments, applications, and usage tracking. This data was integrated into the GIS.
The LAN and WAN were integrated by specifying all hardware, installing software and configuring systems as needed.
