Project Description
For this project, DeBruin performed a preliminary hydrographic survey for ten channels. We used our Innerspace 455XPe Survey Depth Sounder configured with our Leica survey grade GPS and Hypack software. The depth sounder records the water depth. The GPS records the boat elevation. The Hypack software collects the data and performs the calculations to report soundings or elevations in the appropriate datum. Back in the office, the data was imported into CAD where we used InRoads engineering software to calculate the dredge limits and volumes. We worked closely with the County to produce dredging construction plans according the County’s specifications. We look forward to using this experience to produce another set of plans for dredge work. We hope to be awarded the pre-dredge soundings, dredge limit stakeout, and post-dredge survey for this project soon.
