Project Description
DeBruin has been working for the Town of Oyster Bay under various agreements to perform services related to the North Shore and South Shore waterways for more than seventeen years. Some of the tasks that we have performed recently include the following:
  • Staking mooring boundaries.
  • Bathymetric surveys of several channels for dredging projects.
  • Locating channels for channel marker placement.
  • Studies on how to improve the navigational aid system.
  • Mapping of the channels, waterways, shellfish boundaries etc.
  • Incorporation of waterway data into the Town's Geographic Information System (GIS).
  • Creating GIS based software applications to manage systems related to waterways.
