Project Description
This project involved much of the same work as did the previous Elder’s Point project. Both are located in Jamaica Bay and are part of the USACE commitment to replenishing the wetlands in this area. Once again, we teamed up with Geomaps International who produced a topographic map of the upland areas using photogrammetry. DeBruin set the control for the photogrammetry and performed the hydrographic survey. We collected the data with our depth Sounder configured with our Leica survey grade GPS and Hypack software. Profiles were run from pre determined locations. A surface model was created using Bentley InRoads software and contours at 1’ intervals were plotted. Deliverables included topographic maps, profiles, ACII files of all points and a control report.
